Navarro has decided to end her professional career at the age of 48, but her farewell leaves behind a legacy that will be difficult to surpass or match. The Spaniard's influence has been crucial in the development of women's padel, as the sport was mostly dominated by men, however, Navarro managed to break through and inspire young talent, attracting a new generation of female players.

A paddle legend
Carolina Navarro Björk was born on February 26, 1976 in Malaga (Spain). With a Spanish father and a Swedish mother, the young woman began her sporting career at the age of 7 playing tennis. She went on to win several regional championships in this sport, however, at the age of 19 she decided to change the tennis racket for the paddle racket, a change that would mark her sporting life until she became one of the best players of all time.
Thanks to her consistency, dedication and technical and tactical level, Carolina Navarro has accumulated a series of triumphs: she has been number 1 in the world for 9 years, five of them consecutively; she has been world champion in pairs on 3 occasions; world champion in national teams on 4 occasions; and 12 times champion of Spain.
In addition, her sporting career also totals more than 100 international titles. Also, thanks to her dual nationality, in 2022 she represented Sweden in the World Padel Championship.
Beyond her sporting achievements, the Spaniard also stands out for her human side. She is president of the Association 'Palas para todos', an initiative that promotes the integration of people with disabilities through padel.
