Project Emerge by EY and Enablon aims to help companies safely navigate the transition back to the workplace amidst COVID-19

On the 4th of June, 2020, Ernst & Young Global Limited (EY) announced the launch of Project Emerge, working together with Wolters Kluwer´s Enablon, a global leader in Integrated Risk, Operational Risk and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management software. The aim of this collaboration is to provide a robust digital solution which offers environmental health and safety support for the physical return to work in an advanced cloud-based software platform, and helps companies navigate operational challenges in the plan for recovery to reframe their future. 

EY, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services and software solutions provider Enablon have built an alliance with the purpose of helping organizations manage environmental health, safety and sustainability performance and reduce operational risks. Through Project Emerge, they aim to support businesses in safely managing workplace operational challenges due to COVID-19. 

Building off the recent EY Physical Return and Work Reimagined framework and the EY-Enablon Alliance, which focuses on improving EHS and sustainability management, the digital solution of Project Emerge combines robust information with advanced technology, in order to assist companies in the turbulent environment caused by the coronavirus pandemic. 

Amid the current COVID-19 crisis, businesses have to deal with difficult decisions, regarding measures for a safe return to the physical workplace for their employees. This is a complex process that may require ongoing surveillance, as well as controls and business continuity management. The Project Emerge solution helps through it´s mobile-enabled tracking of employee health and exposure risks, and offers detailed reporting and immediate notification of COVID-19 issues. 

Project Emerge was developed on the cloud-based Enablon software platform, and helps to deliver a digital management solution, offering guidance and information from reputable sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Furthermore, it is capable of managing and monitoring COVID-19 health and safety risks in the workplace. The platform is available worldwide across industries and permits businesses to prioritize the health of their employees and customers. It also allows to build enterprise resilience and to plan for recovery beyond COVID-19. 

To be more concrete, the platform provides companies with the following features:
