How to invest in renewable energies in the United States? Pay attention to the advice of Norton Rose Fulbright
Japan's Kansai Electric Power Co. took a major step forward in July 2020 when it made its first investment in a US company. Specifically, Kansai bought a stake in the Aviator Wind Project in Texas.
Norton Rose Fulbright advised Kansai, which acquired a 48.5 percent stake in Aviator Wind Holdings LLC.
This transaction has been relevant to Kansai as it represents the first investment in renewable energy in the United States and the fifth outside of Japan.
Several Norton Rose Fulbright lawyers participated in this operation and two of them, Raquel Bierzwinsky and Becky Diffen will speak in a webinar about the opportunities that Japanese companies have when investing in the renewable energy sector in the United States. They will also deal in a practical way with transactions between companies specialized in renewable energies.
This webinar organized by the British firm, which will take place on February 3, 2021 at 9.30 am JST, will be of interest to Japanese companies on this important subject.
