Hogan Lovells signs promising New York partner
Hogan Lovells has strengthened its Corporate & Finance department in New York with the addition of Parikshit Dasgupta, the third partner to join the team in the US so far this year.
The department posted strong numbers last year, according to managing partner James Doyle:

In January, the department welcomed partners Rich Puttré, based in the Miami office, and Denis Segota, in Philadelphia. Doyle opens the door to more hires: "We are planning to make more additions in strategic markets.
Dasgupta joins the firm from Reed Smith, where he was a partner. Throughout his career, he has represented US and foreign sponsors of growth equity, secondaries, debt, energy, infrastructure, technology, venture, credit opportunities, among others. The new Hogan Lovells partner advises on spin-offs and the generation of new asset management businesses.
David Winter, who co-heads the firm's private equity practice, said: "The rise of private equity is expected to continue, and we are committed to growing our private equity and investment funds practices in the US to better serve clients' needs in this space.
For his part, Dasgupta is excited to embark on this new career path:
"Hogan Lovells' Corporate & Finance department has an excellent reputation coupled with a truly global reach that will allow me to better serve my client base in the US and Europe."
The new addition to the international firm holds an LLM from Harvard Law School (USA) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Pune (India).
