DigitalMaas launches Small Business Support package in Australia and New Zealand, offering their software for free during the coronavirus pandemic

The leading local marketing platform DigitalMaas announced the launch of a Small Business Support package on the 22nd of May 2020. Together with some of Australia and New Zealand´s most important technology companies, they provide a free version of their cloud-based local marketing software to small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The platform was created to help small business owners thrive with their projects and be successful online, and is used by about 14,000 small businesses in Australia. In order to support the owners of small businesses in the process of reopening after the COVID-19 shutdown, DigitalMaas recently joined together with the Umbrellar Group in New Zealand and Yext (NYSE:YEXT), a Search Experience Cloud company based in New York. DigitalMaas tries to make the reopening process as smooth as possible, committing to supporting up to 100,000 small businesses as part of this initiative.

Therefore, the marketing platform provides all the functions and features that were previously reserved for paying customers only at no cost for small businesses that have been affected by the coronavirus crisis. This allows them, for example, to post to their Google My Business Pages, to edit opening hours, to update delivery and takeaway options, and to monitor and respond to reviews.

With the help of Yext, accurate business information will be updated on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Apple Maps, Bing Places, and on about 35 other digital services in the Yext Knowledge Network. Executive Vice President of Global Partner at Yext, states that they are “proud to be a part of DigitalMaas´s free offer to help small businesses navigate this though time by helping them deliver accurate, official answers to their customers’ questions in a rapidly changing environment.”

The Umbrellar Group owns and operates Umbrellar Cloud, New Zealand´s leading Cloud Solution Provider, as well as offering a number of other hosting and domain solutions, cloud infrastructure, advanced data, AI technologies and productivity tools to their clients.
